Off-Grid and Hybrid Power Systems

TREKKA Energy supplies off-grid and hybrid power systems for remote sites across Western Australia. We provide diesel generators, battery energy storage systems and solar hybrid packages designed for mining, industrial and commercial operations operating beyond the main grid. Systems are available for sale or hire and are configured to match site load requirements, fuel logistics and operational constraints.

Diesel Generators

We provide reliable power for remote sites and temporary projects.

  • Diesel generators for load or back up
  • Fuel tanks and fuel management where required
  • Electrical connection, switching and commissioning

Generator Battery Support

Reduce diesel use and improve generator performance.

Generator battery support systems integrate battery storage with an existing diesel generator to reduce low load running, improve fuel efficiency and manage peak demand. These systems are used to optimise generator performance on remote and off-grid sites across Western Australia.

Battery support can be supplied as a stand-alone upgrade and configured to allow future solar integration where required.

Incorporates;

  • Containerised battery energy storage system with integrated power electronics
  • Controls and protection systems integrated with the existing generator

Hybrid Solar and Battery Systems

Lower diesel consumption for ongoing remote power demand.

Hybrid power systems combine solar PV, battery storage and diesel generation to provide reliable power for remote and off-grid sites. TREKKA supplies greenfield hybrid systems for new developments and retrofit hybrid upgrades for sites operating with existing diesel generation.

  • Greenfield hybrid power supply including generator, solar PV, battery energy storage and control systems
  • Solar and battery retrofit to existing diesel generation sites
  • Solar add on systems to reduce daytime diesel consumption where battery storage is not required

FAQs

Off-grid power solutions include hybrid solar and battery systems, diesel generators, microgrid systems and integrated battery support designed for remote and grid-constrained locations in Western Australia.

Typical hybrid systems include solar PV modules, battery energy storage systems, inverters, control systems and diesel or hybrid generators sized to site load and operating requirements.

A microgrid is a local power network that can operate independently from the main grid or alongside it. It uses controls and energy management to balance generation, storage and load.

Yes. TREKKA Energy designs, supplies, commissions and supports off-grid and hybrid power systems for remote sites including system modelling, load analysis and integration with existing infrastructure.

Yes. TREKKA Energy completes site-specific modelling including load analysis, fuel forecasting and lifecycle cost assessment to support system sizing and delivery planning.

Typical systems may include solar PV modules and mounting, hybrid or grid-forming inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and diesel or hybrid generators.

Yes. Where required, systems can be designed to integrate with existing infrastructure and legacy assets, including existing generation and distribution.

Yes. Commissioning is completed to confirm performance, safety and integration with the site network before handover.

Yes. Support can include system monitoring, performance optimisation, maintenance planning and operational reporting to maintain output and asset life.

Yes. Where suitable, systems can be configured for staged delivery to match changing loads, site development and budget timing.

Systems are designed around site load requirements and operating constraints, with control strategies that prioritise power availability and stable operation.

Yes. Systems and control designs are developed to meet relevant Australian standards and site-specific compliance requirements. Commissioning and handover include performance verification and documentation.
